Indeed Sam Allardyce was in charge for the last couple of weeks of Season 2006-2007
The achievements that season were down to Roeder and Pearson

i remmber that season really well
i didnt miss a game at home
i remeber the fans wanting sheppard gone and staged a demo at one of the games .i think it was one of the sheffield sides so i think as far as the fans were concerned the club would have been in decline
