Meh? Don't see a problem here - as long as he is not being groomed as a stand-in manager should Harry Kewell crash and burn.

I like the fact that he has history with Kewell at Leeds and that he had success as academy manager at the same club and on the Dark Side.

I don't think many of our managers could have worked with a DOF (Technical Director?) but Kewell is clearly comfortable with the arrangement.

All we need now are couple of playing additions: the ballwinning beast for the midfield and a league standard goalie to replace 'The Count' (© chickenbaltipie)...

You're not really suggesting he can't so the job because he's 65 ? I don't think we're planning to put him in the back 4 and he's got a lot of experience at that age. Most of us will still be working at 65 and given football's practices he probably won't be here for more than a few years anyway.

Being past it is a pre-requisite for a DoF. The who can still manage, do. He was probably the man HK was led to expect, so there should be no-issues there.
