Well there's a mystery, Lol. Can't be two S. Dawsons surely?

Agreed. Bit odd the whole thing as it was on at $21 and then relisted. Good luck if anybody wants it; not my cup of tea. I checked the bidder; doesn't ring any bells and only a handful of ebay transactions. Lol's info on SD apparently still having his membership card upsets the provenance a bit - unless the handwriting is Dinky's?

Lolmorgan, can you ask him if he remembers how much the membership was?

Whilst were in 60s mode , does anyone remember a local band named " The Thunderbirds" ? Reason I ask is that I believe the drummer who's surname I imagine must have been Bates ( he used to do a solo spot sang in high falsetto voice) because I was mates with his brother Alan who I have lost touch years ago , Ive managed to track down other " gang members" but no-one knows what happened to Alan

Anybody know exactly where the "Columba Hall" was? Was it demolished to make way for the dual carriageway? Was it the building that latterly became a carpet warehouse, and burned down in 2012 (now also completely demolished)?

Mike if I remember right it was next door to the Carter's rest pub which was 32 College Road so it would be the building shown here next to the pub which is being demolished.

There was a band called Johnnie Silver and the Thunderbirds had a bloke called Roy Ledger with them but don't know the others if it's the same lot.

Thanks for the information - That club would have been a bit before the time that I would have seen my first live band
