You keep saying we have become a boring football club under McInnes,I was wondering when we were an exciting football club?

Must have been at least the early 90s

Bit harsh. We did play good fitba when we were attacking teams with McGinn, Hobitf@ck and Rooney. We are lightyears away from that standard now

I never once said we were boring. I had a go at McGinn plenty but when he was on fire he was ace. Ive always said Rooney was the best since big Dunc and Hayes was f@cking ace. In that time we shat the bed in big games regularly. That i did have a go about

We were predictable at times but we were good to watch, well Hayes and McGinn were. I remember John Hughes (not the director) talking about how it was difficult for the opposition because they didn't know who to mark due to the counter attacking style.

We could counter attack well due to Hayes and McGinn but also the likes of McLean who was the only one in team who could lift his head and pick a 30-40 yard switch or angled ball from deep. We don't have this now in our midfield - instead it's hit and hope punts forward and into corners, and hoping GMS or McGinn make something from nothing.

You can't constantly offload good players and then have bad transfer windows and then expect to compete for honours.

I would agree that we were good to watch with McGinn and Hayes,my point was even back then there was a lot of folk complaining about us being boring.

Game management patter and that sort of stuff.

First season we would try and see out 1-0 wins and it came back to haunt us when we finished 3rd. It was mentioned at the time.
