There's absolutely no way it would take longer to get to the new stadium than it would to Dundee away.
I would hazzard a guess that there will be a route from the BoD to the Kingswells P&R or Westhill potentially via the AWPR (once completed).

There will be a number of options you can consider outwith the shuttle buses.
Isn't funny how we need to "hazard a guess" how supporters are going to travel to this new stadium? You would've thought it would be part of the proposals and that they would present their ideas on how supporters will travel to the ground if they aren't using a car or a supporters bus...but they (or Milne) don't because they're either not that far-sighted or they don't give a f@ck...

I've always wondered how they propose to handle a large away support that aren't travelling to the game on official supporters buses like what happens in Europe. For instance, if we had played Burnley at this new stadium, do all the home and away supporters travel out on public transport together holding hands and singing ging gang goolie or could there be possibilities of instances of public disorder...

Maybe the Milne man has taken into account that once we've been saddled with the huge debt of a new kit stadium that nobody wants apart from him and his acolytes, we'll never have to deal with a large support again..

Wrong. Work-wise, although I may be retired by the time it takes for a white elephant to be conceived, I am on the very south of the city, and Dundee will be far more easily reached, given that the rush hour traffic on Kings gate and the A944 will be at its height, with parking relatively easy, compared to Kingfraud. If I am retired, I will have all day to prepare for such a trip.

Wrong again, buddy boy. The current AECC is the nearest pick-up point for a shuttle bus, two miles from my house. And, credit to you for guessing that the route would be going via the AWPR, as I assumed it would, but if you check the transport strategy, you'll find out, as I did (doing my due diligence and risk assessment, so that I actually know what I'm ****ing speaking about, ken?) that shuttle buses from the pick-up point will be routed via the A956 King Street and A944 to Klingonsford, presumably to pick up passengers on the way. Go check. Utter ****ing madness, but hey, it's only the fans.

What? Cycling? I still occasionally do the cross-city 9.5 miles and return (recycling, if you will) to and from work, but by the time Pachyderm Park is open, I'll be 65 years old. Two words: "****"; "that", and I've no desire to walk to and from a car in some yet-to-be-agreed industrial parking lot in the winter weather and sit in interminable queues (remember East End Park????) to get out and home. Public transport is my preference and I use it almost without exception, to try to avoid giving the planet emphysema, so that insulting patronising little pricks (no names mentioned) can inherit it.

This is not for the fans, it's for the corporate hoors whose coin is far more important than that of supporters, and we cannot afford it.

    Not really.
I don't know how you or anyone else plans to make their way to the stadium.
    Its a personal choice.

We also don't know what the future brings, what the projected traffic will be once the AWPR is in place nor what infrastructure / facilities will be developed to meet the new circumstances

Really?........... using public transport?.................. and be back to BOD before you could get back from Westhill.
    Hugely doubtful.

I've not seen a high level of congestion circa 19:00 for a hypothetical midweek game at 19:45

    I guess demand will dictate.
Right now the route will be structured to provide the best pick up points through the city, but if demand is sufficient and regular from BOD to fill the requirements, then as a business, they would adapt to give the best route,

There's also a huge opportunity for business owners to capitilise on the stadium move and put on transport, so for example, the Brig Inn may run a bus to and from the stadium. this encourages you to go to the pub, have a couple of refreshments before the game and potentially some more on your return.

Just an option of course, but I'm sure there would be a decent demand from the BoD area.

No, not necessarily cycling, my option above is just one example on not needing the planned shuttle buses

It may not suit all, but may suit some more than others

    B'ollocks

    Everyone knows what would happen.

80% of the crowd will go by car, about 50% of them won't try twice.

Just the stupidest idea in our history, Pittodrie is where we play football, not f'uckin Westhill.

    Milne oot.

I have already congratulated said Councillor (whom I get on ok with btw) on the success of the NKS campaign, I believe they played a large part in such a large portion of Dons fans getting behind the stadium, when they were much more against Loirston just a couple of years earlier. I credit them largely with that change in attitude, precisely for the reason you've stated.

Complete the training complex, reconsider Pittodrie. It makes cultural and financial sense.
    Totally agree

Utter ****e ....there is far more opposition to the ‘shire ‘ move than cove ....
At least you could walk to cove from the town....

You stay out near westhill ...you are related to who owns the land at the proposed site ...

Every week that passes more fans are against the move

    It will kill the club....

Hope Milne ****s off soon and they ditch this idiotic move

Brentford building a 17,500 capacity stadium on this site. Doesn’t look like a lot of room...
