You might want to research how much health care costs you in the US and what you get for your buck , you'll need to find 5k out of your income every year to have any kind of decent treatment .

In fact there's nothing to stop you funding your own healthcare in this country if you believe the service is so poor , you have that choice .

Low tax economies come with strings attached fire .
It is the worst along with Ireland.

Cancer outcomes are the same as the Czech Republic and Slovenia.

Which means thousands of people are dying of cancer every year who shouldn't be.

It should have been replaced by a Bismarck system ages ago.

As I stated fire you have that choice , there are alternatives if you feel your life is threatened by the NHS .

Any stats on how many are treated?

9 months ago I underwent surgery on my spine & 2 months ago treatment for a broken foot in a different hospital
The service I received was top notch
When you see firsthand the sheer volume & scale of what the NHS provides we should be very proud
Have you had any recent first hand experience gf?

It's not a real choice though is it, animal? Going private doesn't get you a rebate on your taxes.

The NHS is at a bit of a crossroads. It is not funded adequately and, to my mind, there is a question over whether there is a will to do so. In their 2017 manifesto, Labour were proposing just £6bn extra for the NHS and social care. That compares to £11bn on the tution fee bribe and wouldn't even touch the sides of the funding hole.

The Tories are proposing £20bn extra, with tax rises in the autumn budget, but I suspect the devil will be in the detail.

Visited a French A&E after an accident there in the summer. Not impressed by the wait and lack of triage, but my 30% of the bill was very reasonable.

My most recent experience was a 4 hour wait in A&E on a Friday night which I wouldn't like to repeat any time soon.

    Bosch could have painted it.

Don't you claim tax relief on private insurance premiums?
