By the way Shedboy1971 belated welcome to the board. I'm sure you've read the rules and won't end up in the same wheeliebin as Shedboy71 and Shedboy17. They were great posters, especially the 71 laddie, I'm sure you could have learned a lot from them. There's only so many options with the numbers 1 and 7 tho so tread carefully

Had to go into and have a look at scums forum. Funny as fcUK reading them all saying it's mcanns fault or Americans fault and how **** most players are and how they can go down

No sure where all your new found optimism has come from... understand you have a new manager but you've still got the same players that Shabba signed and you know and I know that this is worst United team in living memory....for as bad as we're playing just now we would have no problem in putting you down again

You're wrong - the reason United fans wanted rid of Laszlo was because he wasn't getting the best out of the players we had.

We knew we had some decent players (certainly for this division) and a manager that could organise them, play them in their proper positions and give them clear instructions would get the best out of them.

In the first game that Neilson was in charge (after only a few days at Tannadice), the difference was huge and the improvement continued into his second game. The players are also starting to look fitter and sharper.

Compare that to the reaction that you're new manager has had and you can see how United fans are much more confident about what would happen if we ended up in play-off situation.

Obviously time will tell, but that is "where all your new found optimism has come from.."

    You're welcome.

I understand that by virtue of a solitary victory, doing a Brechin this season is off the cards??
