That is really most unfair BT, Alf and I each recognise and appreciate the exceptional qualities the other one possesses, and are not afraid to point them out. This honesty and openness surely deserves better than derogatory comments tinged with a hint of jealousy. I thought you were better than that.

To answer your question BT, should we stick to football related topics only. Basically you're asking if we should ban the political threads/discussions/arguments. There really is no need, no one reads any thread on this forum without taking two affirmative actions, first logging onto the site and then clicking onto the thread title to open it. In the vast majority of cases it's clear what the thread is about and if anyone doesn't wish to read a thread on that particular subject then they can simply choose not to open it. If the subject matter is not clear and they open it by mistake, then they can easily close it again. There were recently some complaints over the poor taste of some of Alto's clips on one paricular thread, some people were offended. Again the solution lies in a poster's own hands, everyone knows which thread Alto posts these clips on, if anyone feels they may be offended or upset, then don't open that particular thread.

There is no need for a blanket ban on any subject, each of us can operate our own personal bans, if you don't want to discuss politics, or even read about politics, and prefer to discuss or read about football, then don't open the politics related threads, stick to the football related ones. Job done.

Totally agree sinkov. If you don’t like a particular thread the appropriate action is to refrain from posting on it.
