I always admired Glenn as a player back in the 80s and like many other fans, I wondered why he didn't feature more for England in those days.
However, since retiring from playing hes made some unfortunate comments hasn't he, and he still does make the odd ridiculous comment as well as a tv pundit.
But putting all that aside, I hope things work out ok for him here, it didn't sound good at first when I read this news.
Oh dear Alf how sad that you should stoop to the level of the trolls.
Hoddle gave an interview to a paper and he made comments about disabled people, which eventually was used to get rid of him from the England Managers job. He said that his words were misinterpreted but apologised for any offence caused. After this he continued to raise money for disabled groups.
Hoddle was one of the finest footballers to grace the game of football and I feel myself lucky to have seen him play many times. He should have won many more England caps and had he remained England manager I think that we could have become a better side than we did under subsequent managers.
Best wishes Glenn for a speedy recovery.
So,I air my views and because you don't like them you insinuate I'm a Troll . Sorry Dave ,but he shouldn't have made comments about disabled people in the first place .. Great player though. .. I will re iterate my earlier comment.. I Hope he makes a full recovery ..

My Dad had a couple of bad heart attack when he was 62. He died just a few days short of his 90th birthday. Modern heart drugs are wonderful.
I said that you had stooped to their level not that you were one, big difference. It seems like we all have to tread lightly these days as if we say one wrong word there is always somebody ready to accuse us of upsetting someone or other! We both come from a time when freedom of speech was to be treasured now it is frowned upon.
Probably the the best midfield footballer in the world then and most likely now too.
Swift recovery Glen Hoddle a Swindon Legend too
