I agree wholeheartedly. The guy from the British Legion even says he's fine with white poppies.

Problem solved. Make a donation in respect of a worthy cause, then buy a black permanent marker and draw some stripes on to your white poppy. One of those win / win situations, you can show your gratitude and avoid wearing red.
