It’s really not that poor an analogy, Andy. Trump has only been in power for just under two years and already he has taken steps to alienate Mexicans and Muslims and ridicule the disabled.
Of course Hitler would have been a ‘mere footnote’ had he stopped after twenty three months but that’s surely the point, together with the fact that, like Hitler, Trump gains whatever limited domestic approval he has as a result of being perceived to be re*****ising the economy regardless of his amoral lunacy in other areas.
Strange one that too. Usually when a change of leadership coincides with an economic upswing the departing government claims some of the credit. In the UK the Tories have made a habit of it...claiming after every defeat that Labour are only able to improve things because of the healthy finances they inherited...this time apparently it’s all Trump’s work...nothing to do with Obama’s legacy...just DT’s very own twenty three month economic miracle. Scarcely believable is it?
