I'm not old enough to have used these kind of places when they were in their prime, but these days all these kind of places are dead.

Well I've been here for 15 years and Notts MAD has had a good number of posters and visitors throughout that time (and before).

Facebook and Twitter arrived long after NCM and I wouldn't be surprised if they depart sooner. They rely heavily on notoriously fickle young audiences, whereas NCM has it's fair share of veterans!
