    Redfearn's Bar

I popped in yesterday for the first time and I have to say I was genuinely impressed with it .

It's far more spacious than I thought it would be , plenty of seats and tables , five tv's showing Sky Sports dotted around .

I had a pint of lager which was reasonably priced at £3 although the plastic glasses aren't ideal but I guess it saves time washing up afterwards when the volunteers probably want to watch the match .

Barnsley bitter available and pie n peas all very reasonably priced .

It still looks a work in progress and they are building up a number of reds photos , shirts in frames and artwork on the walls .

I'd recommend the place for your pre match drink no problem at all .

you went in on a quiet match day

try a normal league match its heaving when its full they have a 1 out 1 in policy
also gets very warm when its full the beers very good they run out of pie and peas within an hour of opening.

Yeah you're right about the one in one out policy and the warmth. However, if you get in there early enough and get a decent position it isn't too bad.

    Still prefer the Mount though.

It's alright if your in cahoots with the usual mob of the BBS, Gally, Hicksy et al.

Ideally it needs to be a bigger venue, without the daft 1 in 1 out policy, make it welcoming for all fans. Similar to Fleetwood's facilities.

Arrogant mob them too. I used to sit on the same row as them and when they'd finished tidying up at the bar the used to just brush past you to their seats without and excuse me or acknowledging you.
