Relegation is far from success. It's the opposite.
Winning the championship twice is real success on a lesser scale to winning the premier league or champions league but nevertheless it's a success.

Continually qualifying for Europe.... getting to quarter, semi and actual finals does (in my eyes) count as success.

Getting promoted, because you got phucking relegated and scraping by, does not!!!!

Anything can be deemed a success if your stall is set out to achieve a set goal.
The reality is, nobody gets noted as a success for holding a wooden spoon regardless.

It actually does because you basically win a trophy.
But it's each to their own mindset on what is deemed as success.

Well here’s hoping you’re happy if you lift the League One trophy.

That was on ALAN SHEARER!!!! Worth every penny.

As kev said, the debt that followed was a mortgage, a mortgage well used as it expanded the ground from 36,500 to 52,300.

We have stagnated and moved backwards ever since.

No need to research the 5 points.

If you have lived through both regimes, you would be a fool to prefer what happens now in comparison to what happened then.

Disclaimer - my answer has been fuelled by several bottles of beer.
so we made profit out of the likes of owen then did we
he used the adidas money we didnt have to fund deals

    a debt is a debt

i cant buy a house if i cant afford it
and if i can i cant afford to go to harrods to furnish it

as i say 120 mill themn is miles more in football terms to what we had coming in then to now

we could afford 120 mill these days without mortgaging the club to the hilt

a mortgage is a debt however you look at it

if it was the mortgage on a ground we dont own why isnt it paid of
    why hide it

Owen was bought long after the share issue.... if you knew your club... you would know its history.
