I'm beginning to think norder that it might actually the opposite, the players now know something we do. That the board is not going to go out on a limb to keep us in the PL, they're quite relaxed about relegation, as long as the bank balance remains in a healthy state. And this mentality has permeated through to the players, they've realised that they're playing for a club that doesn't really care if it gets relegated, so why should they care ? It might only be a subconcious thing, they've not deliberately become non triers, but instead of giving 100% for the club it's dropped away to 95%, does it really matter that much to them any more, why should it if it doesn't matter to the board ? And I would think this mentality must inevitably have permeated through to the management team as well.

A fish rots from the head, and that's the problem at Turf Moor imo.
