This is what you were hoping for above but unfortunately we are in no position to take advantage as we are losing points to these teams also. Hopefully we can kick on and achieve a similar points total to the last few years but it is becoming more difficult as time passes and we lose games.
Prior to the Celtic game we'd won the last 8 out of 10 league games I think... that's not dropping too many points really. It was our slow start that's cost us - if we'd started the season a little better we'd be on top by now. So I'd say we've been heading in the right direction this season - win against Livi on Saturday and we're on course for a similar points tally to last season.

Pep would be my first choice but I reckon we would have better luck trying to convince Clarke. I would take Lennon as said previously but I certainly know he wouldn’t be a particularly favoured appointment by a lot of fans. Clarke would be a decent appointment though so when McInnes has had enough silver medals at Aberdeen I would be open to Clarke taking over.

Surely as a club we should be looking to improve upon last year. You need to have a bit drive if you want to win things.

Pep would struggle to handle the mercurial talents of Considine and Cosgrove. Clarke would be as good a shout as any if he was interested - whether he'd do any better than McInnes I really don't know. I do rate Lennon as well but while he can get his teams up for big games, he doesn't seem to churn out the wins against lesser sides - personally I wouldn't trade McInnes' consistency for the 1 or 2 extra wins Lennon might generate against Celtic as they'd likely end up being meaningless if we weren't picking up points every other week.

Come on, your dodging he question more than a Sevconian dodges soap.

Lennon and Clarke have been mentioned.
You wanted Jack Ross, who’s currently not realistically available, although underperforming at Sunderland may make him available in the future.
But who would you suggest is the right person, right now to take over?

If McInnes left my choice would be Clarke but I’m not sure if he would come here,if he leaves Kilmarnock it will probably be to move back to England.

What’s the point in faring better against Brendon Rogers when you drop points and get knocked out of cups at lesser teams?
Surely we’ve been there before and I certainly prefer our current position of being more consistent.
