You're saying DFCSS set up DFCTV from scratch with money from supporters memberships rather than take over an existing service the club already had? If that was true, FPS couldn't simply take it from them.

I eventually found that number in last year's agm minutes, what is it now? As for the last sentence, I'll assume that is tongue-in-cheek. Anyway, it's about time the society sold those shares, rather than hanging about the club waiting for another opportunity to get the blazers out

Explain about the £800,000 bill left FPS by Dave Forbes. First I've heard about that one.
Forbes and MacDonald signed off on a budget which ultimately cost the club an £800k loss, which FPS had to cover. Do you think those two could have covered it had they been able to keep FPS away? No doubt the club would have incurred a substantial loss anyway but 800k? Probably not

Without agreeing with your quoted figure, genuinely never heard that one, FPS didn't need to cover anything, they chose to.

Cancelled after DFCSS took it for themselves later that year. DFCSS obviously hugely involved in the big revamp a few years later since they still ran the club, but no way did they use their own money, come on

Broon went on a signing spree after the Club 12 season, authorised by two DFCSS directors who were jointly running the club. They continued spending all through the summer, knowing they were going to lose the vote. The losses for that season were 800k, including replacing bomber with hartley. Can't remember that many signings under FPS/Hartley to push the bill up so where did the 800k loss come from? Dundee's losses under Brannan were always about 300k. Bit of a nonsense that FPS didn't have to pay any wages or bills having gained control, no? Or were you wanting DFCSS to remain in charge?

Hi Rross. I thought hmac would be able to set me straight. If you think it's unfair to ask him to comment on specifics I'll withdraw my request. This thread has been one of the best we've had on here for some time. Almost like back in the old days with some discussion and nobody just being on a wind up. Taintedice has a point about the financial situation facing DFCSS just before the investment from FPS. I think the fact that FPS did invest in the club was essential.
