DM is this that and the other

I want to try to defend DM somewhat here.
All week many on here were saying confidently that he would drop Field and Harper before Sat. That somehow he was blind to the fact that we needed more energy in the side. Well obviously he was not.
The Subs of Brunt and Livermore on Sat in my opinion was a sensible attempt to game manage keeping a wining lead. Well it backfired. But it was actually individual errors that cost us.
Why did HRK play yesterday, was it because DM does not have and clue. Or was I perhaps that Phillips is injured and bearing in mind Pulis’s teams are a cross between 7 foot rugby players and a Roman legion we needed some tall players ourselves . Also whoever played in the middle yesterday needed to take a physical battle and expect a few elbows in the ribs.
I’d like to think that our dealings in the transfer market indicate that in future HRK will not be a regular in the side. When Phillips and Morison are back fit, Murphy and Montero are settled we will have more options. I expect Gayle will be more central with ammunition supplied from the three wingers we now have. Also Morison, Holahan the kid form Fulham and can all play a decent forward pass through the middle.
    Positives from yesterday
We don’t have to play our nemesis again this season.
    Harper and Field’s development continues.
    Negative
I bet the treatment room will be full on Monday morning

I was going to post a "very pleased with Darren" post a couple of days ago because I genuinely think he is doing a great job. We lost yesterday. So what? Does anyone honestly think we will win every match and not lose one? Even at home. Leeds, Norwich, and the others have had mixed fortunes all season just like us. We are very well placed at this stage of the season. I honestly get so tired of hearing moans after a loss as if it shouldn't happen to us. It is the height of unreasonableness, and stupidity. We have a good set up here, the only thing that will be tested if we go up....(and no it isn't guaranteed first time round after big changes at the club)...If we go up is IF the board backs the manager and buys players and not from ebay or crocked rejects. Like everyone on here I'm way happier with a more attacking style after all that's what I remember this club to be historically but it wont always guarantee us 3 points every game. It just wont....NOTHING WILL. Ask Man city.

The fact that mooro admitted he chose to stay loyal to certain players rather than play the new boys tells me he ain't ruthless enough, too much old pals acts

    Excellent post.

Sometimes I wonder why some on here support Albion!

Some on here actually go to the matches come rain shine or snow so entitled to their views. Why should you care, as West Brom was a name mentioned to you from a great grand parent so doubt whether you know the Hawthorns from a stadium or a bush

In my humble opinion, I think we have the best squad of players in the division but a manager who is still learning the game. I still think that we will get promotion but with a more experienced manager we would have been in a more loftier position at this stage of the season.

But would we even have this group of players without DM being here in the first place.
The predicted exodus did not happen, partly because they wanted to play for DM.

Which exodus is this? Rondon, Jonny Evans and Foster are all in the Premier League. That leaves Jay Rod and Dawson who may think they are good enough for the Premier League but are not - notice nobody showed any interest in them in the Jan window. Brunt is struggling in this league now - Livermore is a championship player and Morrison is more injury prone than Chadli.

The rest are championship players at best although you could say Phillips could get some interest but again injury prone.

If we were to go up - who would you keep? Honestly think Harper and Field could become our prized assets but clearly at the right level now. Just being honest!

Big Dave's doing a great job, after the mess he was left with and a split dressing room.
