About even I'd say , they won the league in 80/81 and we were runners up ....grrrr , still kills me to this day .

However we were better in the old second division in my opinion the following season , finished higher in the league and doubled em in 81/82 .

Nothing between us in all honesty .

Not even close. The Millers side of 81 was, in my opinion, the best I've ever known. Towner, Moore, Seasman, Fearn, Stancliffe,Forrest, etc etc.

Don't let two random dingles come on here and pretend they could compete with the above. **** em. At that that time, we were the best. And I mean it. Our side was awesome,!!!

Cash strapped councils are one thing Grist but to sell the the heart and soul of the towns football club is quite another thing altogether .

Nothing they can do with the land anyway other than replace it will other leisure facilities as that is in the original deeds dating back to the time the club first acquired the land .

I think if you were going to buy a team to sell the ground for housing you'd pick a team in an area where houses are more expensive. Although there is a fair bit of land, that's true.
