When was the last time that we won the Youth Cup? Quite a while ago if I'm not mistaken. Round about the mid to late seventies?

Our youth team are playing Everton in the quarter final of the youth cup. Is anyone going?
We haven't been this far for over 20 years and beat Arsenal 2-1 in the last round. I think I read that Arsenal were the pre-tournament favourites.
All sounds very promising. Hope the lads can do the business and make the semi finals, which would be a real achievement.

Missed a good match, Albion win 4-3 after being 0-2 down.

Brilliant result.
This competition has been dominated by Chelsea for ages and I am sick of watching them in the two legged finals in itv 4, hopefully we will break that dominance and the youth players who do it actually stay with us rather than do a brown.
I couldn't go tonight as already had plans to see The Peaky blinders creator and writer Steven Knight's new film Seranity followed by a Q & A with the man himself.
He confirmed there will be 7 series at least and a film.
And for the first time series 6 and 7 will be actually filmed in Birmingham.
He's a really nice chap and and big Blose fan who hates the vile.
I asked he could get us a mention when he has the black country characters in it.
He's trying to get a 50 acre film studio in Birmingham which will be great for the City.
I know there a lot of PB fans on here so I thought I'd let you know.
Just read a report about was a great performance. I just hope that we can keep hold of the undoubted talent that we have in the face of the inevitable efforts that will come to tempt it away.
These talented kids can move to a 'top' club as they know although they have no chance of breaking into the 1st team at Chelsea, Liverpool etc they know they will be loaned out to 'lesser' clubs so there is no risk.. I think Chelsea have 30+ out and unbelievably Juventus 50+. To stop all this change the rules so only kids that have been brought thro' a club's own academy can be loaned out. That would mean clubs would only sign those that had a realistic chance of progressing with them and make kids stop and think 'am I better off here where I am getting meaningful football.'
What a great performance from our kids. Let's hope in a few short seasons from now a whole crop of them are gracing our 1st teram and playing some good stuu!
COYBB!
