    Indeed. That's why I chuckle to myself when you endlessly accuse me of not liking Corbyn because he would harm my personal finances. The truth is that I might well be better off under a tax and spend addicted Labour government. Until their financial incontinence destroyed the economy for everyone that is.

    We are talking about the criminal bar - barristers don't generally work for firms - they are self employed (just like being on a ZHC, Roly - if you don't get work, you don't get paid). If you move into corporate, property, tax, or environmental law, you are no longer at the criminal bar.
