I'm not sure that I agree with the NM comparison. I think that distracts from the very sensible criticisms you make in this post about the ability of JM. What was he thinking? That's the really worrying part- the way the team was set up did not seem to make sense especially if there was some expectation that our defence would hold and frustrate Rangers.

Can you agree with the criticisms yet question the comparison? JM has also put his mates on pedestals, can't see that going down well with the rest of the squad.

sorry Taintedice, just picked up on this thread. See what you mean about JM and NM putting the players they brought in ahead of the players who were already at the club. Misread your original post and thought it was just a pop at NM and JM. i am starting to question the ability of JM. If he doesn't have Nelson available and doesn't pick Miller for the striker's role I'll be pretty disappointed. Picking the same players and making them play different roles could, IMO, be worse than just changing the team by picking the direct replacement that's playing in the reserves.
