What is so wrong with a group of Dundee based businessmen wanting to take over Dundee at a time when new capital was required? In the end DFCSS chose to accept FPS. Straight commercial decision by those who were at the Gardyne Theatre meeting.

I actually love the way you accuse me and Islay of passive aggression then tell Islay to phukk off. That's the sort of language normally used in a debate by a person who knows their point is incorrect.

Both Islay and I like a debate but, and I'm sure Islay won't mind me saying this on his behalf, the debate has to be reasoned; unfortunately your side of it just isn't.

Tainted drop the swearing at other posters mate
    to move on
im not an SS member anymore yes Ian was a member of the Business Trust along with Peter Marr and Steve Martin and by jove with the exception of SM (who jumped ship to FPS) were not allowed to forget being B Trust members, bcram is correct altho if memory serves me right i dont think an actual bid was generated in paper.

Peter now sits in the coxy when he used to have a hospitality room every home game = lost revenue to the club

i sat in a meeting with Ian Baird years ago now along with another 3 guys looking at ways to buy back dens,so Ian certainly doesnt appear to me as the type of person to be a hostile person

Nelms really should take a think and as i said last night ,get people around the table with a clean slate, that includes people with a spare bob or two and also try and entice guys like watty rojas/jim mitchell etc back to head raising cash that would help with day to day stuff and beyond,

if you regulary travel to Tayport but dont like the tay bridge attendant you dont go via perth do you?a good few hatchets need to be buried for the club to progress,if John Nelms cant or wont see that then there lies the problem in my view,im pretty sure every other person iv mentioned in this post would be up for that

By the time of Gardyne meeting the business trust offer was off the table. The future Society directors had organised a meeting between FPS reps and the business bids guys with a view of getting both parties to work together as the more money for the club the better. It was agreed at the meeting that the business guys would withdraw and FPS would work with them going forward for benefit of the club.

FPS got in and told them all they were no longer welcome, which was disappointing as if the local business men were willing to invest then surely that would have only been for the clubs benefit. Although FPS have shown they want to be fully in control which is their choice

Great post Shaded. Just what we need Dee's working together. The only way it will happen, as Nelson Mandela showed, was to forgive the past actions on both sides and move forward together.

bcram one of the very first obstacles that must be overcome,is that even the most basic and straight forward question by email to both the club reception email address and j nelms email address goes unanswered since early Tuesday morning, not even a holding email in return.absolutely shambolic and rude in my opinion,i decided to ask the clubs plans/observations re the state of the south enclosure and i had full intentions that if my email generated a quick response that id purchase a table of ten in hossi for a game, guess what?no reply so North End will get the money for the table of ten and i also save enough money for a nice wee getaway for me and the other half.

Absolute shambles im afraid and is a very strong indictator as to what is so wrong within Dens, the correspondence has to improve 90% even if its a straight piiiiisssss off reply

    Hi Shaded.
    That is very disappointing.
Last Tuesday evening I noticed on the club website that included in the article about the forthcoming Hearts game the price for concessions was £12. (it is normally £19 for a category A game). I immediately sent an email to Verity at Dens and the following morning at about 10am I received an email from Tommy Young thanking me for advising them of the error and the website had been amended to show the correct price.

My understanding is that the home games during the 2018-19 season against Celtic and Rangers are Premium Category games. The homes games against Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs are Category A games and the home games against the remaining teams are Category B games.
However on this occasion I will bow to your superior knowledge.
