Ta lads. I never had reason to do my own spreadsheets when I was working, I just told someone else to do it.
I can do basic ones now but I just prefer a sheet of A4 and a pencil.

Impressive long division technique as well Griff. I like the way you carried the 14. You must have been taught the same way as me.

I bet not many youngsters could do all that with just a pen and pencil nowadays. They would need a calculator and mobile phone!

I always imagined you as a Barclays Banker howoldboy.

Haven’t we been to Alexandria before Piglet? It wasn’t the answer then either.

A significant day for several contestants. Pete got the best score of 13 and, thanks to long-time-leader Howoldboy only managing a disappointing 3, extends his lead at the top. To add insult to injury Howoldboy has now been overtaken by NZBlue, and drops to third. Well done to Psaw who promised to try harder and it’s paid off this week with a creditable 12. He’s overtaken Chalky - the first of his stated aims. Crusha’s 10 points take him up to 9th from 13th. Buc also only managed 3 and he’s down three places. Gaz and Acido failed to show up and are down 3 and 2 places respectively.

Average score was 7.5 which is better than most weeks but there’s still a 10 point blanket over 10 of us in the middle so a significantly good week could make a difference for someone and, with only five more weeks of this tarradiddle to go, bragging rights are increasingly important. This is the time to step up to the mark.

QA appreciated — and better luck next week.

Not the Yucatan Piglet. The correct answer was Harry Ramsden’s chippy in Blackpool, a very easy mistake to make.

Another poor-scoring week but I’m putting that down to some surprising results. I mean, not many of us foresaw Burton beating Barnsley, or Wimbledon managing a point against Accrington. Still, Psaw did rather well, for the second week running. He top-scored with 8 so well done Frank. At the other end, Piglet managed a big fat nowt so Gaz, who failed to show for the second week running, gets the same and falls two places to 15th. The only other move of note was Southblue whose five put him up two spots to 11th. That’s what can happen in a week where the average was only 3.5.

Chalky is now bottom having been leap-frogged by Alf who managed a six. With only 4 weeks remaining there’s still all to play for each end of the table, and Psaw will no doubt be plotting my downfall even as we speak.

    Good luck everybody!

Grateful for the usual checks (not cheques, that would be WRONG)
