There were a lot of factors contributed to last week’s result. Calls offs due to the pitch, travel time, etc. It’s not isolated though. Been watching Scotland and going through the highs and mainly lows since the mid 80s. Belarus, Macedonia, Estonia, Lithuania, Georgia twice, Maldova and now Kazakhstan have all taken points off us. The vast majority of teams of our ranking beat these teams home and away. Some of it must be down to attitude.

From memory, we’ve had two away draws with the Faroes.

None of these teams have ever qualified for a major tournament, so there is no excuse for us having so many bad results against them.

I think the problem with sacking manager after manager is that it’s only papering over the cracks.

We are never going to improve unless we change the way we coach kids from an early age.

Thing is, I still see the Scottish professional teams teaching them to play 100% tempo all the time, where they need to learn also how to slow the game down, keep possession and make the opportunities.
A high press is fine, but better teams will learn to play through the lines and counter if the teams are not taught when to apply correctly

A usually-reliable source tells me that Frank Lampard's biding at the Malmaison, having flown in this afternoon to watch Shinnie, and possibly MacLennan (I have doubts) and McKenna, at tonight's game.
