Both major parties at the last general election, had on their manifesto that we would be coming out of the EU on 29th.March.85% of voters were conned by these Westminster traitors.Only 10% voted for the parties wanting to remain.MPs in this area have betrayed the voters and should be kicked out.We vote to come out in the biggest ever turnout but they do not listen and ignore the result. What is the point of voting in future when the London Bubble twists it round to what they want.PATHETIC !!!!!

    Corbyn calling for a GE
Does the deluded fool think that he would command a winning party
I sincerely hope that if a GE occurs both major parties get the shock that they deserve

Well that's one of the sadder aspects of the whole fiasco. Had Labour rallied around the northern leave vote they would have increased their chances if winning a general election.

But they didn't, they sided with the London set and sat on the fence when it came to positive actions of their own.

They are now deluded enough to think they could win a general election when in truth they are more likely to lose seats that they comfortably gained before.

A chance missed to kill off the Tories and lib dems.

Just now on the tv was the Labour MP for Batley and Spen she was asked if there was a general election would the Labour party be a leave or remain party and say which way in their manifesto.

    SHE DIDN'T KNOW !!!!!

She is a staunch remainer, however the people of Batley and Spen she laughingly represents returned a 60% leave vote.

    Traitors all.

was asked the same question on QT
She didn't know either [or didn't want to answer]
It's a flawed policy & it will cost them dearly

    but should we be surprised?

the Labour party main movers and shakers:-

    Corbyn - Islington North
    McDonnell - Hayes
    Abbott - Hackney
    Thornberry - Islington South
Starmer - Holborn & St Pancras
Baroness Chakrabarti - Kennington & Lambeth

all of those get nose bleeds if they venture north of Watford

Only Caroline Flint from round here came out of this with any credit, actually supporting what 70% of her constituents wanted, of course Momentum want to deselect her for that.

The EU is one of the things they always ignore the public on, there are other things as well like the death penalty and most notably, immigration, even though around 70-80% want it tightened they actually do the opposite, in fact the Tories have just signed up to a new UN agreement for more immigration.

Not sure gf but see what you make of this
Not clear to say the least is it?

The Petitions Committee decided not to debate this petition

The Committee has decided not to schedule a debate on this petition because the UN Global Compact on Migration has already been agreed by the UK Government. The final text of the Compact was agreed by the UK Government in July last year. It was adopted by the UN General Assembly in December. You can find more about how the Compact was agreed in this House of Commons Library research note:

    http://researchbriefings.files.parli...9/CBP-8459.pdf

The Government says that the Compact is not legally binding and cannot compel the UK Government to change its own immigration policies. On 19th December 2018 the Government made an announcement on its future immigration policy with a statement in the House of Commons and questions from MPs. You can find out more about this debate, and watch the video or read a transcript, here.

    Government responded

This response was given on 7 December 2018

The Global Compact for Migration will support global co-operation on migration without affecting the sovereignty of all countries to control their own borders.
