Apparently Hammond tried to push a customs union through yesterday and failed.

I think now either the EU has to put a date on the backstop or it will be No Deal, maybe when it comes down to that they'll blink or Merkel will step in.

I thought it had already come down to that........... March 29th I believe

The "date on the backstop" argument is a red herring designed only to get certain people off the hook. At the end of any backstop arrangement the question of customs alignment on the Irish border will still be there. I want "No Deal" as it's the only Brexit that means Brexit but I am unsure of the implications for the GFA. My long term hope is that No Deal will encourage the Scots to go for independence. As I own a house in Dumfreisshire and know the border crossings very well I hope to make a good living smuggling stuff both ways.

Just had a phone call asking if I'm available for polling on May 23rd. This is my 67th birthday but the country obviously comes first. It's all getting very exciting.

    Another ferkin extension!

She just won't give it up unless she gets her own way.

Now she's asking Corbyn to sit down with her and agree a plan to end this farce.

Just LEAVE and get on with it.

Far too easy and oddly enough it was the majority view in the referendum.

Particularly the view of those thick northerners whose wishes don’t count.

Surprise surprise we're heading for a super soft Brexit (in name only) which will be worse than actually staying in the EU ! Brussels must be laughing their sides off. Expect Cabinet resignations. If a customs union gets accepted what will Corbyn's "sod the country I want an election" tactics then be ?

She's certifiable and so's Verhofstadt, put them both in the same padded cell and let them sort it out there.

The Tory brexiters will never accept the climb down it's going to require to get Corbyn to play ball .

The sight of Corbyn sat around the table with May whilst the ERG are locked out dismantling their no deal dream could be a step too far for many of them .
