I've oft said, the Ebbe era was a weird one.
It really was a clusterfu ck of a time, with some highs scattered here and there.

Generally, though, it was a disaster.

But I can honestly say I think I had some of the best times, most fun times, following the Dons then.
As sh1te as the fitba was, it was a great laugh most of the time.

Same here. It was a mental time, some results were minging but it wasn’t boring

So basically some people on here would enjoy it more if we were shyte?

Maybe we should go for Jackie McNamara as our next manager and let the good times roll.

That’s a fair old conclusion you’ve jumped to there. It’s possible not to be shyte or boring. One thing I’ve noticed over the years on here, is that fans seem to deal in absolutes. Milnes great because others are worse and that’s the only alternative, boring or death. See also Langfield is impossible to replace, there isn’t another manager that can do the job other than McInnes, we must move from Pittodrie or the club will die

    Where’s your sense of adventure?

My sense of adventure died after supporting Aberdeen for the last couple of decades.

I’m pretty much there myself but if an Eastern European nut job who’s never heard of Celtic took charge, it would perk some interest.

No, that's nae what I'm saying at all.

The Alex Miller era (and the McGhee era) were joyless, dark, bleak, soul crushing days.

The Ebbe era, whilst probably (with a few exceptional moments) just as sh!te fitba wise, prompted ……. something.

Maybe it was some weird, quasi-Stockholm syndrome...….cult like feeling, amongst the collective support.

I like to think it was part of the "bottoming out" process, and this circling the wagons, bloody-mindedness kicked in.

Maybe it was a personal thing to me, there was a good crowd of good guys that went together week in week out and had some blinding p!ss ups and a laugh and a half every week.

I reckon it was probably "all of the above" and they were happy times, albeit the fitba was rank.

Also, let’s not forget we had a Denmark day at Pittodrie for him. Who’s organising the Glasgow day for our much more successful manager?
