You know what would be the most bonkers thing ever? If you then gave the guy ripping the absolute pish out you, your company & its customers a pay rise for doing it

Surely no company would ever do that would they?

No, it's not a good look, but I think the average modern day professional footballer is a fairly ruthless type, or rather sentimentality and righteousness are not high on their list of character traits. That's why I don't think the other players will give as much of a ****e as you or I would. Aberdeen is our club but players see pay-packets and nothing else. They are unlikely to be emotionally affected by Shinnie going away for a day to discuss his future. I would think they respect him and therefore respect he is doing what he needs to do. He'll no doubt be back to doing his captains job in plenty time for the game.

Certainly by a man who is convinced McInnes is totally and utterly irreplaceable...or is simply terrified of hiring someone truly incompetent...again.

Is there absolutely no pleasure to be gained from seeing him turn them down when the media has it as a no brainer. It made me smile.

Totally agree, to hear the Sevconians go on about it being a done deal and there’s no way he could turn them down, to then see him turn down the offer was a great moment.

As funny as it was, make no mistake McInnes wanted to go to sevco.

If he wanted to go, what stopped him?

Also, hearing the Sevconians declare that he was not good enough after he turned them down was cringe fully funny.
