If Shinnie gets a move to Derby, fair play to him - they're a decent Championship side who may end up in the EPL at some point (which in my mind would definitely be a level above him). I've no idea who plays for them, but if they can afford to send Lowe out on loan they must be pretty decent as he's been possibly our best player this season. He'll certainly not be signing to play LB as Lowe is probably a better LB and he's clearly not deemed the best they have currently. If he goes, I hope he does well. I could see him lasting a season or two and then coming back up to re-sign for us.
I don't think it'll affect preparations for the semi final much. If anything, the players knowing that he's definitely off (they probably knew already) will make them more determined to get to the final so he can have that as a farewell game. I don't actually think it'll impact them either way though.
The more I think about Shinnie and Derby County the less convinced I am that it will happen.
That he's having talks with them at least quashes the suggestion that he has already agreed to move to the h*ns and the club are simply keeping it under wraps until the end of the season.
