If someone had said to me three years ago I would be considering voting for a party led by Nigel Farage and aided by Jacob Rees Mogg's sister I would have had them sectioned .

But we are where we are because of the failure of the government and the betrayal of Labour towards leaving the EU .

As a one off protest vote the Brexit Party ticks the box for me and will more than likely get my vote .

I suspect around South Yorkshire it will have some considerable success .

What's the difference between the Brexit Party and UKIP in terms of policy? Isn't there a chance of vote splitting? Shouldn't one make way for the other for max impact?

Can we please cut out all these political s.hit posts. It’s a football site not the frigging Houses of Parliament. There’s enough politics on this site without having another one.
Kind of agree on this one. The Brexit thread is just discussing this very issue isn't it. Why another?

I think UKIP have gone down the wrong path since Farage left by associating themselves with people like Tommy Robinson. People might now think that UKIP have gone too extreme (even Farage has said so). It’s what I think. The Brexit party has a chance to disassociate themselves with any extremism and if they do they will be a force and UKIP will go down the pan.

I'm looking at it as a party for the moment so to speak Raging .

I only expect it to be around whilst ever Brexit is still on the table , it's a one time protest vote for elections we shouldn't be having .

I'd expect it to absorb the UKIP vote because of the Farage factor and do some serious damage to both Labour and the Tories .

Enoch Powell told his supporters to vote Labour in 1974 because they were anti-EEC.

He was one of the most popular politicians in the country at the time and both he and Heath believed Powell was responsible for the Tory defeat.

The mistake UKIP and Farage made was that they thought it was over and they had won so they started looking for other reasons to exist and the present UKIP leader employed Tommy Robinson as an advisor which polarised opinion and that is why we now have two Brexit-supporting parties which could prove costly.

Islam was the splitting point, UKIP are concerned about growing Islamic influence in the UK and Farage isn't, or at least doesn't want to deal with that subject yet, which is probably correct as Brexit surely has to be the priority, that's why UKIP exists after all.

Sadly Labour were then overrun with capital friendly bourgeois liberals Fire leading to Tony Blair .
