Absolutely ragin watching that p'ish.
Westhills can keep their f'uckin team, I support Aberdeen.
I seem to remember a few on here when confronted that the new stadium would impair on a football budget saying that it would not as the new stadium costs would be ring fenced from other sources...
Can’t be bothered looking back at who was saying this but McInnes in the media today saying money is tight as we have a new stadium/training facilities to build...
Get ready for some really ****e players to come in in the years ahead ...But never mind we will have a shiny new stadium in the middle of nowhere to go to that will be less than half full ( being optimistic as well with that )
I wonder what ambition we were going to show if we got the extra 1500 fans through the gates?
Anyone on the Board with half a brain should realise what is key for when we do move is that we have a good, competitive team on the pitch.
If we’re struggling to make top 4 and playing folk like Considine & Ball in the first X1 now, I can only imagine the standard we’ll have in 3 years when the playing budget is cut to pay for the stadium.
And if a director or Milne says it won’t be cut, they’re lying.
If the likes of Arsenal & Spurs cut back for a few years in the transfer market after they’ve moved then so will we (not necessarily in terms of transfer fees as we generally don’t pay fees, more in the wage budget).
We might see far more youngsters getting bled in to the team the next few years (which is fine as long as they’re good enough & not playing just to trim the wage bill).
I think we should be encouraging more youth to come through.
If young players like McKenna, McLennan, Campbell, Ferguson, Anderson, Ross etc can push through and establish ourselves, it should benefit us in terms of stability and potential income generation.
We should also accept the cycle of selling youngsters at the optimum time, with that progression that we have someone from the youth pushing to make the next step.
Its refreshing to see the likes of McLennan get more gametime and arguably he deserves it regardless if more established players like GMS or McGinn were available.
McInnes is hardly going to come out say "Loadsamoney, bosh bosh, shoom shoom, wallop, dosh" is he? All part of the game. Let folk think you're skint, and then that way, we don't pay over the odds.
Seen a few folk pissing their pants today saying why have we not offered anyone any pre-contracts? Conveniently forgetting Shocknessey and G-Stew, and that's only two we know about. Probably Cadden's been offered a deal, and maybe a few will require fees, which I'm sure we can afford this summer.
I think that's a bit of deflection from McInnes. Whether that is him being tactical for future dealings with other clubs or just covering his backside for future crap signings that he makes who knows. We have currently easiest the third highest wage bill this season so I don't buy the money is tight rubbish at the moment. Our issue is the money we have spent has been spent so poorly in the main. Whether future budgets are curtailed that depends on how the stadium is funded and certainly won't impact on next years budget (the training facilities have also been covered by new money coming into the club from the likes of Cormack and Crotty.
