    Few strikers outside the Premiership are able to give 100% every match, they cannot score with every shot, nor can they always supply perfectly accurate passes.

    Craig Mackail-Smith is my choice. We tried to sign him (allegedly) a couple of years ago and when he's given the ball in space he shows why. He's still got the pace to frighten defenders and take markers with him, it's not his fault if Ardley's tactics don't allow other attackers to find space outside the box to feed him. At 35 he's still sharp, I hope we can keep him.

    I would say that the only player we have had this season that has surpassed expectation is Bird. The fact he has been often snubbed says it all about the way our club is run.
