Nobody ever had a good night out in the courthouse. It famously was the scene of some hilarious football violence, when England played Scotland at Hampden in the play offs. The Birmingham zulus went mob handed into the place on the same night the Renton boxing club were having a night out. Looked like a Burt Reynolds film.
Christ now your asking. Absolutely no idea but I think it was the redburn estate whatever that is old or new. I did take a drive through Renton a couple of times that was always an eye opener. My abiding memory of the courthouse was it was the first pub I’d ever seen buckfast on an optic behind the bar. Did have a good laugh on a few nights out there though

Redburn is ‘new’ Bonhill. Lovely views buts bit wild. Buckie on the optics isn’t unusual but there was a pub in Dumbarton that had Eldorado on tap, sold as Peruvian Brandy

I wish our Chairman had such foresight. He's also overseen the the building of the highland academy training numerous youngsters, hopefully some will make the grade, and even if they do not, hopefully they will have an affinity with their local club. In days gone by, I would estimate that 95% of County and fans of the Inverness clubs would have Rangers and Celtic as their "big" clubs. Hopefully youngsters attending regularly at County or ICT will have these clubs as their "big" clubs meaning less support for Rangers and Celtic.

Both County and ICT get very healthy crowds and both have won major trophies since the SFA "allowed" them into the league. Both clubs would have had much lengthier senior football histories had the SFA allowed them into the major leagues long before now.

As for playing football six months in the dark. Aye, well done. Major bantz.

Out of interest, do you think the pyramid system is a good or a bad thing? Do Annan or Edinburgh City deserve to be in the major league because they don't have major league history? Surely teams like this are more deserving of a place than teams who continually languish at the bottom of division 3? Or maybe they're ok because they're from the south of Scotland. Why do you have a problem with teams from the North? After all County and ICT are barely much further north than Aberdeen.

Or are you just on the wind up? If so, well done, you got me well and truly hooked.
No mention of the 'bones of their erse' near-liquidation years in the Highland League, I see.

Another cabal of dour 'efficient' journeymen like St Perth, Ferranti and the Masons.

.......but still superior, and preferable, to Dumbarton. (Stating the obvious simply for the purpose of clarification.)

Agreed, means that as long as celtic don't stuff up the cup final we will almost certainly be in Europe next season (for those of us that care)

Decent by Messi but Madisons v Sevco was better. It touched the post, was right at the end, scores at 1-1.
