I think when Sam took a swipe at us and referred to them as being 'historical' it must be because they were founder members of the football league maybe?

Tis always the same for our matches at small heath. It will be interesting to see, should either of us go up, how many West Mids finest allow v wolves.
Pathetic how even the ‘matchday police force’ with the most brutal reputation in England have gone all ‘snowflake’ on us. Their predecessors must be laughing their heads off.
From personal and anecdotal evidence I'd say that particular accolade is a tie between South and West Yorkshire Police.

The mysterious booking fee has been there for years.

You've missed a word out to describe your club. Arrogant. And this arrogance that you are the only big, well supported, historical club in this neck of the woods has cost around 1000 of your 'fans' the opportunity to attend their biggest match of the season so far.

You and your club should hang their heads in shame.

Sorry I do t get it. Why has it cost 1000 fans to see the biggest game?

Have you seen the league attendances this year? 9 of the top 10 are at Villa Park, the other one is at Leeds.

And how many of these are cut price tickets and student giveaways? I know they can't give Vile tickets away at the Uni in Birmingham! Perhaps Selly Oak is more entertaining than Vile Park although with Greasy Jack going down at every opportunity it does give extra comedy on match days.....

Because the Albion were quite happy to give Villa the usual away fan allocation of around 3,000 until Villa decided they would only give the Albion 2,000 rather than the 3,000 away fans at Villa Park normally get. The 1,000 seats that should have Villa fans in will be empty for security reasons. Hence 1,000 Villa fans miss out.
Most fair minded football fans would I think agree with the Albion's stance. Do you?

I know there is the proverbial ‘elephant in the room’ regarding South Yorks police, but I’ve not found them to be too bad, a little ‘batton happy’ at times maybe, but not as quick on the draw as our lot.
Anecdotally whilst on England trips during the 80s and early 90s, most fans were moaning about our plod.
Also, most Midlanders (apart from derby days) would be home fans and not subjected to WMP hospitality. In the past I’ve been to all of our grounds many times, with mates who are fans of clubs from outside the area and found the WMP to be rude and heavy handed at best.
I’ve found that only Merseyside Police come close to WMP.
I don’t see other forces having such a big say in away fan allocations.

West Brom have made the right decision - would rather have 1000 empty seats than those c unts having one more seat than they allocated to us

From a purely mercenary point of view - promotion to the PL is worth £100M and as clubs operate as businesses why would they want a larger & therefore more noisy away section influencing matters on the pitch? Personally I'd prefer a larger away support for the atmosphere.

On a different note for those going on Saturday, the club have put travel restrictions in place, usually reserved only for when we play blues. Stay safe and enjoy the game lads.
