If the club is trying to say that the crush as you leave the car park into Don Street ( where you turn left) isn’t dangerous then they need to think again.

Unfortunatley this has been flogged to death and the club refuses to accept it's an issue. There is an existing path to the rear that leads out to Armer Street/Brinsworth Road but the club think that that is too dangerous for the away fans.

Would agree with that, but surely there should be enquires about the disused railway arch ( goes under Popeyes burger van) that comes out into the police station car park.

Open that up, and away fans have a direct route to the train station.

Other than that the left turn into Don Street is still dangerous. Often you still get cars trying to get out, it’s badly lit when it’s dark and the 6 foot (temporary) barrier fencing off the water outfall is falling down.

All it takes is a fan incident like somebody falling down, taken sick or similar and you’ve got that recipe for disaster as the crush pushes forward.

Yes they can wait til it happens then be sued before they decide it’s definitely an accident waiting to happen.

When it was first done, I did trip near the kerb and went into someone ,luckily he was a stocky bloke but what if it had been a fragile person who ended up on floor?
What if some decide to start a fight? What would happen then?

I now wait a bit and don’t walk near the kerb 😂

How many times have we heard the excuse/reason after an accident “ we looked into a solution but it cost too much”

With the new family values and community approach by the club I am sure that TS, PW and others would be devastated if there was a serious accident maybe a death but yet the problem remains. Talked about but nothing happens.

Just how expensive is it to stop cars leaving, levelling the footpath, install good lighting and repairing the barriers?

I’m sure if there was an incident and a prosecution that the Court would expect those actions to be reasonable and practical

Thing is Grist if they are covered by insurance it wont matter too much as the risk is either mitigated or transferred away from the club, so they only have to deal with bad press which doesnt seem to bother football clubs too much

I don’t think you can insure against fines following a prosecution

    Certainly not a personal prosecution.

Don’t think TS would like the bad press

On the don street it has independently vetted by 2 different parties the club asked for these to see if a other alternative was needed .I asked the question about the barrier the answer was you would rather have "100k spent on a player wouldn't you" These issues maybe be looked at if the club has a sustained stint in the championship but the goal is to get back there first. The exit is safe for the moment allegedly although i do share people grievances on it i thinks it a accident waiting to happen by wtf do i know
