Wonder if Talk Sport will be accusing Brighton of being racist for sacking him.

Depends if we get promoted or not.

If we don't then yeah I'd take him.

If we do, then I think Shan deserves his chance on the Prem..

I would take him as I think he understands both divisions. Problem is he will have offers and I doubt the ambition of the owner will meet his criteria.

Jenkin's won't pay the money for Hughton I doubt and I suspect Appleton is in the frame for next season in any case as he ticks all the boxes; ex-player, needs a job as he's only really got posts at teams that were up s*it creek without a paddle so he should be well suited here.

I’d take him in a heartbeat because I think he actually knows what he’s doing and he can clearly spot a player and build a team.

He’ll be to expensive for us though.
I never thought of him as negative until a few weeks ago when the subject came up at the pub and to a man all the Seagull fans whilst appreciative of what he had done for them wanted him gone because of his negative approach. Others I've since asked the question of all say similar.
Funny you mention his a bility to spot a player as the other perceived big failing is their recent recruitment. It so mirrors us where from a position in the Prem of relatively strength the players bought in added so little.

Dan Ashworth must have been heavily involved in his sacking you would think. He must have seen something in him he didn't like and he knows his onions...

    That’s an interesting point 123.

Hearing on SKY that the chairman found it a “very difficult decision” so maybe it was his choice.

Not 100% sure if Ashworth is involved in managerial or just player decisions down there?

I was hoping he got the boot at Brighton and now he has, he is the outstanding candidate out there and should fulfill Jenkins' remit of being free.

I don't think BHA will foook around with any gardening leave nonsense after what he did for them so he should actually have any compo attached.

If he came I would be very happy.

I'm fairly sure he was involved in our managerial searches. And I would imagine he would have been in a good negotiating position with Brighton when he took the job as he was coming from England, to include all major sporting decisions. My first instinct is that he is involved, but I may be wrong.

To be honest 123 I’d rather have Ashworth than Hughton.

Such a major loss to Albion,if I’d been in Lai’s shoes I’d have moved heaven and earth to get him back.

Knowing our luck he’ll tell Hughton that Jenkins is an a r s e hole and to be avoided even when out of work LOL.

Would love him Bomber but you must know it’s a choice of Shan or Appleton - the cheap skate options!
