You don't have to add the Labour vote in to reach a position where Remain supporting parties did better than Leave supporting parties. As it stands at the moment, the leave supporting parties (Brexit and UKIP) took 34.9% of the vote whilst Remain supporting parties (Lib Dem, Green, SNP, Plaid Cymru and Change UK) collectively took 40.3%.
There was no seismic shift in support of the Brexit Party – much of their support was made up from the collapse of UKIP and from disaffected Tories.
In reality, all that happened in the election was that the British public demonstrated that they are as split and polarised in their views as Parliament.
No the result demonstrates that the British public are p1ssed off with the two main parties one that couldn't run a bath & the other that can't decide where the bathroom is & you like them are in denial

I can't say that I have spent a lot of time looking at public service vehicles in European countries, Zyles. Are you a fire engine fetishist?
See my post to Grist re: WTO rules on subsidies and other support to companies. There are a number of arguments for wanting to leave the EU, but the desire to nationalise and prop up lame duck companies with taxpayer’s money is a misguided one.
Zyles is an affectionate nickname that I have thought up for you. It's based upon your user name if you look carefully.
What am I in denial of, Zyles? Is there a mistake in my arithmetic?
I would agree that the public appear to have turned their back on the compromise soft Brexit approach that May was arguing for and the ‘sit on the fence and hop that no one notices approach’ of Labour.
Well I can't believe that I have just done it, but I googled for images of Spanish fire engines and the three that I looked at were built by Mercedes, VW and MAN. Maybe it's just that the Germans are very good at building commercial vehicles? As for Dennis, maybe the market is so small that there is no value in producing Left Hand Drive variants?
Just spotted your edit. French hospitals appear to operate in much the same way as British ones in that ambulances don't actually drive into the waiting area – they would crush the patient seating there if they did.
