I don't know what the real agenda of the bloke bringing this action is but it does seem to be a waste of time and money
    Quite.

The £350million figure was a lie. As Grist correctly pointed out the other day, the true figure is about half of that.

I don't want to say too much about the case as it is arguably sub-judice. I would simply point out that the CPS has the power to take over private prosecutions and drop them if they are deemed to be doomed to fail or not in the public interest.

What do you mean about the rules for the election being changed? Which election? Which changes?
The election for the new leader obviously.

The thing is that the figure of 350 Million per week is about right but that is without the UK rebate taken in to consideration. If you take the rebate in to consideration you are looking at a sum of 250 million give or take a couple of hundred thousand. It is still substantially more than the 175 million you are claiming it is.

FFS why are people so ****ing dim. What Boris is saying is that once we leave we would save 350 million a week because we would not have to pay into the EU nor would we be getting any rebate. right now we pay 350 million per week to the EU the rerbate is then taken off the 350 million leaving roughly 250 million. Let me try to explain this to you in the most simple simple simple way I can. I have to pay you £1 a week to be a member of your club but you have to give me 50 of that back a week in rebates. so it only costs me 50p a week to be in your club correct? are you following this? Right so now I want to leave your club and no longer have to pay you to be in your club and you no longer have to pay me a rebate! so what am I left with?????? I am left with the original pound I started with correct????? I hope you can follow this ffs. The full £1 get it.

Let me see if I can explain to you.

You never give me £1 and never have, because I have agreed that you don't have to pay me 50p of it. We've also agreed that I am going to pay you 20p every week, which I do.

Would it be truthful for you to tell everyone that you have to give me £1 per week or would that be a porky pie, because you are only 30p per week down?

There is a useful adage in my trade, which is that you can't polish a turd and that people will notice if you put sprinkly things on it. You would do well to reflect on that.

How were the rules for the EU commission elections changed?
