    o/t Muse

Kicked off a massive world tour in Houston last night with a mind blowing 25 song setlist.
Huge world tour including Etihad Stadium, Stadio Olimpico blah blah blah.
Phil Collins, Paul McCartney, Brian May etc saying the bass guitarist is the best they've ever seen. Not bad for a Rotherham lad who once played to 30 people in The Charters. UTM :-)

So then Brian May didn’t have a high opinion of John Deacon?

Or Phil Collins not thinking Mike Rutherford was any good?

Praise indeed and worth musing over.

Saw them in Bristol last night. I can't put into words how great of a gig it was, best concert I've ever been to, and my favourite all time band. A bonus Chris also happens to be a Miller! The Pink Floyd of my generation the way the next generation will enviously ask about "you got to see that tour live". Such an amazing set list last night with all my favourites and the coolest stage prop I've ever seen.

At Ashton Gate it got me thinking how amazing it would be to see them play at New York. I know it's "too small" of a venue for a band that size especially doing such huge global tours with only a handful of concerts in the UK, but if ever there was an opportunity to try and make the most of a local connection and pull off such a special occasion for the town Muse is surely it!? Can't do any harm to ask...

Imagine NYS hosting with free entry for season ticket holders.

Probably the first time I've ever agreed with John2. They are the best/ hardest working live band in the world at the moment and their stage production (whether its a 15 000 capacity basketball arena or a 60 000 football stadium for 2 or 3 nights ) is truly spectacular... but we all go and see Muse for their musicianship don't we, and these boys will NEVER disappoint. From the Charters to the Etihad UTM and UTM.

It will never happen mate, the rest of the band are not football fans, although Chris would love it :-)

Would love to see them play the NYS.

Given when I saw them at the Etihad last month it was full I cant see the NYS working though.

    Ashton Gate size stadium maybe.

The tour is coming to an end soon with sell outs at the Stade de France for two nights this weekend, then two nights at the San Siro.. .not bad for a Miller. Two extra nights added at the O2 later on this year because of demand. The boys have been performing to massive crowds all over the world. Well done lads,UTM and UTM.

Indeed, not saying the others weren't bad but Chris is in a different league with his technical ability mate, as both the aforementioned bass players (and most others) have been happy to admit.
