Been watching Chernobyl on Sky. When it all kicked off the people were told that there was no problem, it was just a bog standard fire, and there was nothing to worry about. People who said otherwise were dismissed as scaremongers and even traitors to the state. They cut the phone lines to stop the spread of “misinformation”.

The bizarre thing for me was him standing with a half eaten sandwich in one of the 'victim' photos. You would imagine anyone normal would drop the sandwich. Or maybe he was just hungry after wasting his yoghurt.
