Btw, did you ever see the back story of that old chap who had milkshake “thrown” at him down south?

    Really lovely bloke.
What, the one who smeared cherry yoghurt down himself? I can help with people's understding on that one:

The bizarre thing for me was him standing with a half eaten sandwich in one of the 'victim' photos. You would imagine anyone normal would drop the sandwich. Or maybe he was just hungry after wasting his yoghurt.

That the less well-off members are helped by the more affluent is a laudable principle and, as a socialist, one I approve. However, when cheats like Viktor Orban are the beneficiaries, that's when questions need to be asked ... which is why staying in the EU should be linked with serious reform proposals.
How many more decades of reform do you want? why not switch position and see what life looks like from the outside,no need for reform then.

You should be happy about production moving to slovakia because as we stand now we are still in Europe with no sign of anything changing and i'd wager that the move would have happened even if we'd voted to stay in,we've seen similar moves over the years that are not brexit related.

....and if there is a leaderboard on here for who talks crap i think you'd get a fair few votes

That’s the one! I was a conspiracy theorist and Optipez didn’t want to believe the evidence of his own eyes because he was old. Or something.

As the saga has unfolded it has become clear that it is the other way around most of the leavers are more free thinking and looking for a change in the status quo rather than any personal agenda, there are many and varied reasons to try something new, i'm finding more and more that the remoaners are the sheep who believe everything they see on tv or read in the papers and are unable to look at things from different angles.

They are the ones resorting to scaremongering and attacking others with opinions, because they are scared, sheep don't like change, it's scary.

Seeing as they are now blaming every bad thing that happens post referendum on Brexit we can logically assume that everything bad that went on in the previous 40 years is because we were in Europe so im blaming the EU for the mines, the shipyards ,fisheries, financial collapse, record debt, the state of the NHS, fortnightly bin collections and jimmy saville.

Also there are a few out there a lot less interested in the future of Britain than they are on cheap European properties they intend to retire to abroad....and they call us traitors
    Great post brid.

Your story was that he threw it at himself. Not true.
Your truth is that people voting for Brexit had the same level of information as the poor sods in Chernobyl. A ridiculous analogy.
If you want to do metaphors you'll have to pick ones that work.

    Titania McGrath.....

"I’ve been thinking about this too. What if we allow everyone to vote, but we only have one party you can vote for, and make all other political parties illegal? That way, we could stop a fascist party from getting elected, but we still have democracy". ... https://twitter.com/TitaniaMcGrath

Titania McGrath is a " virtual" radical intersectionalist poet committed to feminism, social justice, and armed peaceful protest. A regular on the live-slam poetry scene, Titania regularly performs at arts festivals, deconsecrated churches, and genderqueer spiritual retreats.

Absolute spoof , but humour definitely imitates life

Have a 'virtual uptick' for your last paragraph.

Fair enough, like the blokes in charge at Chernobyl, you tell yourself whatever makes you feel better.

Of course, I would, because I have the temerity to wander into right wing territory and posit left wing ideas. The supporters of this club on here would fill a hall for a Farage / Johnson meeting and leave with their hands stinging with applause.

I agree it's unfair to apply that stereotype to all leave voters.

I'm sure there are a few it doesn't apply to.
