See Brexiters, you’re definitely not the first people to be conned, there’s no need to feel silly.
And if Luke and the rebels hadn't blown up the death star the galaxy would have been much better off

He's no idea that "high demand and plenty of supply" keep a company afloat. Turn that around to " plenty of supply but little demand" and you get companies failing. Really simple as it's always been the same but I find it hard that shall we say, certain 'Wolfie Smith's' on here fail to understand.

Aye 'Red Robbo' at British Leyland ...... another communist prat that failed his supporter's.

Since the vote and the 'unexpected' result leavers have been painted as the stereotypical thicko brits the string vest wearing, union jack waving idiots who are all racist, homophobic, stuck in their ways and thick as two short planks, and the remainers are the more intelligent bigger picture types who 'get it'.

As the saga has unfolded it has become clear that it is the other way around most of the leavers are more free thinking and looking for a change in the status quo rather than any personal agenda, there are many and varied reasons to try something new, i'm finding more and more that the remoaners are the sheep who believe everything they see on tv or read in the papers and are unable to look at things from different angles.

They are the ones resorting to scaremongering and attacking others with opinions, because they are scared, sheep don't like change, it's scary.

Seeing as they are now blaming every bad thing that happens post referendum on Brexit we can logically assume that everything bad that went on in the previous 40 years is because we were in Europe so im blaming the EU for the mines, the shipyards ,fisheries, financial collapse, record debt, the state of the NHS, fortnightly bin collections and jimmy saville.

Also there are a few out there a lot less interested in the future of Britain than they are on cheap European properties they intend to retire to abroad....and they call us traitors

Not one Bexiteer on here has addressed my main concerns in the original post. Are you telling me that it is good economics for a company like Nissan or Honda to shift production to an alternative European country rather than restructure an existing site?
I am not doubting that Ford and other motor manufacturers have failed to move with the times but now that reality is starting to bite, none of them are looking to the UK for new plant. Why is that and how can leaving the EU address that? What can Britain offer that makes us an attractive proposition?

I addressed it, they are moving to your European partners which you should be happy about, you're a team and you should be applauding your neighbours for the fantasic deal they have brokered

The reality of being in Europe is that the better off members subsidise the less well off and deals are struck that are favourable to assist those lagging behind.

You can't have your cake and eat it, be in Europe but want to keep all the good stuff to yourself and not lose out to those pesky foreigners

TBH though it doesn't make too much difference really whether the cars are built by slovakians in slovakia or slovakians in the UK, this highly skilled workforce that is being talked about just isn't there anymore, there is a huge skills deficit in this country especially in Engineering trades, blame who you like for that one.

Where's the cut phone lines? Do you feel in danger of a visit by the state security for posting your 'truth' on NCM?
It appears the seed of my carefully chosen metaphor has fallen on barren ground.

Btw, did you ever see the back story of that old chap who had milkshake “thrown” at him down south?

    Really lovely bloke.

    You talk crap, Bridpie.
Why should I be any more happy that production has gone to Slovakia than say Malaysia if the UK is effectively no longer a part of Europe?
That the less well-off members are helped by the more affluent is a laudable principle and, as a socialist, one I approve. However, when cheats like Viktor Orban are the beneficiaries, that's when questions need to be asked ... which is why staying in the EU should be linked with serious reform proposals.
