Everyone is assuming Hardy can't pay off the debt himself when maybe he can. Him not paying it does give him leverage to get a quicker sale by bluffing he hasn't the funds and if they don't speed up they will get a non league club likely to be relegated again with a points deduction and no guarantee of getting the club through admin. I do look back and actually wish it had worked out for him, we will do well to get another owner so positive about Notts and football in general in the community but he was unfortunately very naive. Other than a local fanatic like him who on earth is interested in buying Notts unless there's ulterior motive. There is no way a business consortium would ever buy a club as low down as us even when we were in League 2, as you are probably 90% likely to lose millions, as the only goal now is the Premiership as even championship clubs are losing 20 odd million a year on average, so there has to be another commercial reason which probably doesn't bode well for Notts.
