Rupert Murdoch may not be your cup of tea (he isn't mine either), but he doesn't make people sign up to the services provided by his companies and nor am I aware of anything to suggest that people have been conned, as you suggest.

If people want to buy into the dream of being able to watch of Burnley v Southampton on a Monday evening then it's their choice - nobody elses.

Of course people are influenced to make choices, but they don't have to do it.
The choice to watch sport,ie. football, cricket, golf, rugby, motor racing ,NFL[ffs] is entirely up to the customer if you subsribe to Sky/BT/Virgin or don't watch any sport [or very little] if you dont subsribe All these companies use the same techniques to extract your cash

I can't remember choosing for my club to go into administration several times because all the money goes to the big lads who can spend the cost of a hospital wing on one player now.

I can't mind not having a level playing field or even a chance at the big time because it's more about money than the game for the owners.

I must have missed the memo.

I note you don't agree with Sky either but sarcasm does not help make a sound arguement.

What's your point? All of those sports needs funding as do the broadcasters for bringing them to you.

If you use their product, you have to expect to pay for it.

Rupert Murdoch doesn't have anything to do with Sky anymore anyway, it's owned by Comcast.

Where was I sarcastic? I used your words and pointed out that people had a choice as to whether to use the services that you were referring to...

Third tier football isn't a particularly valuable commodity. That's a fact.

If clubs live beyond their means that's hardly the fault of the big boys.

I don't know what Kodi is. Is it on Russia Today or Iranian State TV?
