You are vastly over-simplifying the situation here and conflating two things that, while they may have some sort of impact on each other, you can't know that Scotland being independent would have any impact on sport in this nation. For instance you talk of artificial pitches in Iceland but ignore the fact the climate there means their need is far greater than ours.
