So answer me this Einstein - if the only route to ambition lies with the hierarchy of the club why have they shown jack sh** ?

They have shown plenty but it's washed under the carpet when it doesn't pay off.

It is widely publicised in today's press that back in early May,after the first post season meeting,Rafa knew that the writing was on the wall & there continued to be apathy towards ambition from the top.

Lots of things are widely publicised but it doesn't mean they're full of factual information. Even you can't deny this.

Just look at the training facilities as an example.

Not state of the art but fit for purpose.

Therefore as previously posted,any right minded person would put his CV out in search for a more ambitious club.

Only the very top managers can do that. Those are the managers that are head hunted. The rest are putting CV's out in order to get a job and 90% will take any job that pays the most money, in my opinion.

Dont give me the pounds shillings & pence salary argument,Rafa tried to embed a culture of ambition but met with the usual brick wall.

Rafa is absolute proof of this, only it's Chinese money that equates to his bank account of pounds, shillings and pence.
He's not alone.
Rafa was going backwards at this club because he was stubborn and thought he could blackmail the hierarchy. That's my opinion of the man.

Let's see how the Longstaff situation develops - I'm sure the FCB will relish the prospect of nurturing & keeping home grown talent at the expense of a £30m + sale......... WHATEVER. Thats ambition for you !!!!

Yeah, let's see because most of the big money players that's left this club have orchestrated it themselves and was there for us all to see.
Let's see if Longstaff takes that route and let's see how that route pans out...or not.

On a final point concerning ambition surely it was apparent to the hierarchy at an early stage that Rafa was to depart.Why then was a replacement not lined up well before now?

Maybe it wasn't apparent. We can only go on media hype over all of this stuff, plus people's perception of everything being Ashley's fault and Rafa is god or vice versa, depending on the thought process of each person.
Rafa apparently made out he had no clue about him leaving until a week before he left and had to read that in the paper...so something's wrong if Rafa then manages to have a project all done and dusted in days which suits him...and of course the money is irrelevant to him because he's simply a man of integrity who prefers to see out ambitious projects. What a crock of tish.

Massively. In fact I'd go as far as to say it stinks worse than a bag of rotten fish in a filthy sewer.

By the same token anyone with a degree of sanity can see that the Ashley situation stinks in again stalling on Managerial appointment to save the precious pennies

Ashley's no angel. Far from it. However it's extremely possible that he thought Rafa would sign on. It's extremely possible that Rafa gave a hint that he would. Lots and lots of possibilities can come from this but the fact is we have no manager as of yet and until we do, I'd hazard a guess that the only incoming players would be youngsters until a manager is appointed.
Many clubs go through this situation so it's nothing new.

& before you venture any suggestion that any impending takeover is tying his hands,think Perez!!!!

I don't know what's tying his hands and neither do you but we are told that Ayoze Perez had a release clause in his contract of 30 million which was triggered by Leicester. And if that's the truth of it then it doesn't matter whether it's a takeover or no takeover.

It's fine having ambition if you know you've got a chance of realising it.
