Corbyn believed a political solution was the only one that would work. The military one wouldn't. He engaged into discussions with the IRA in order to help facilitate a political, non-violent solution. He gets pilloried for it.

At the same time the Tory government of the day was duplicitly denying they were talking to the IRA when they were actually in secret talks with them.

I’d suggest you read the last two paragraphs of the article you posted.

You’ve already gone from ‘Corbyn’s a terrorist’ to he’s a ‘terrorists’ friend’...now you’re calling him ‘filth’ which suggests you might not be entirely objective.

My opinion of him is, as I’ve said before, that he’s a well intentioned man but a very poor leader who has been ‘promoted’ beyond his ability.
To call him a ‘terrorist’ seems to me as ludicrous as it is probably libellous but you think what you want.

The whole concept of ‘terrorism’ is complex anyway. I abhor any attacks on innocent members of the public i.e. the Bull Ring, Warrington, London Underground, MEN Arena etc. just as much as you...but I reckon I’d have been just as terrified if I’d experienced the bombings of Coventry, Liverpool, Dresden or the stuff that Bush and Blair got up to.
