Brilliant news, can't wait to not open this thread again to see the complete meltdown taking place. Have fun

I said months ago he would sign a new deal,Milnes plan all along has been for McInnes to be the manager when we move to kingsford.

I can’t remember who it was but someone said last summer McInnes would be gone by February just past, that was always wishful thinking.

Deal would have been agreed a while ago. Nobody wants him, Milne doesn't want anyone else. Easy decision.

I've been resigned to him staying longer for a while. I'm thinking about the positives...

    Predictable news I suppose.
Always thought Milne wanted DM to be manager when the Masonicmilne drome was built.

I'm a bit "meh" about it.

Stability is never a bad thing, then again, if it's more of the same this season in terms of hoofball, then I'm all for change.

I said at the end of last season, that this season was last chance saloon for McInnes from my perspective.

    That hasn't changed.

    We shall see....

This pretty much sums up my take on it. I was getting a bit disillusioned towards the end of last season and just a bit bored of things, partly down to the dreadful football we'd been playing. I generally like McInnes and worry that it's likely his replacement will be worse. But I do worry that he's taken us as far as he can (I'm unsure whether anyone else could take us further though). As you say, this will be an interesting season. We've got the makings of a decent first choice starting 11 and with a couple more players in you never know.
