If were 5pts or more off the pace after the Dundee game Neilson will be gone.
Agree. He has to bin the negative tactics or we'll be oot of the championship race by end of August.

I always mind being told that when studying the badges at Largs, the UK based ones at the end of the day go to the pub, the foreign coaches, sit in the dining room or their own room, working out tactics, positioning and all manner of extra stuff to help them improve as coach/manager, rather than hitting up the pub.

Hard to argue with that when you see the same formation being used time and again by head coaches/managers and not just at Utd
I have been coaching for a lot of years and have got involved with the coaching journey to a pretty decent level. The basic ideas that they want to teach are ok but its really putting players in boxes and making them play a certain way.

The professional kids doing this every day as their main living vs the part time posties who are relying on pure desire and hard work was DUFC vs EF the other night. They are not bad players to get to this level. Our full time players are almost having their individuality coached out of them. Where's the guile, the determination, the invention? It was with the EF players. Largs and SFA teach great stuff, but far too many coaches cannot adapt this when its needed and they become robots too unable to think for themselves.

At the sametime, losing at home to East Fife is the worst single result I can remember as they are a third tier side and deserved to beat us, it will never be acceptable regardless of the timing of the match, it's a humiliation and slap in the face, it must be something that we make sure we are looking back on as the kick up the back side we needed

However I do feel as a fan base we need to get a fkn grip, stop dwelling and fkn crying over spilt milk, we are where we are and a brand new league season begins in over a week, let's back the club to the hilt for the campaign ahead, as it won't be all plain sailing even if we get to where we want come the end, we have enough people ready to kick us as it is, let's show the support from the off vs ICT, a win would be a great result as they will be strong again and be coming Aug revenge in mind, getting back in the Eddie t and creating a positive atmosphere

    Agree 100%

Against EF he had just as big a mare as any other player, but on saying that for the huge amount he put into the stands there was also crosses from other areas that Shanks and Clark should at least have hit the target.

Because of lack of invention it seems the main positive attacking move for everyone is to fire it up to McM ask him the beat the defence and cross on a sixpence. Most teams are aware of that now and use 2-3 defenders on him whenever possible. There should be much more threat from other areas of the park.

This is something that i really cant get my head round, and its maybe already been answered by eastfifearabman, but if defending teams have our players doubled up all over the park, where is our spare men? Their goals came from 2 guys collecting the Sporle cross, and the second from a player blocking while the second took a gamble and nipped the ball away.

Is it our guys sticking to a poor game plan, or nobody able to decide for themselves based on what they see in front of them.

Thing is, does it really take Largs and their coaching methods to make someone a good coach. Pretty sure I could set up a team to go and play attacking football whilst playing players in their correct positions come match day. It's really isn't rocket science.
